When I first conceived the idea to start a poetry blog in October of 2011, I was a nineteen year old BA English Literature undergraduate who had just started studying at Swansea University in Wales. As both a young and aspiring student and queer Christian who had recently come out, I found myself navigating the previously unchartered territory of romantic relationships.

Fast-forward to present day and I now find myself settled back into my hometown, London, and working in digital marketing as a profession. As my life has evolved, it has become clear to me that I no longer want to write solely about love (although it’s still a subject that continues to inspires me). I want to write about life, wherever I find myself, and whatever’s giving me the spark of inspiration to put pen to paper (or fingertips to keyboard, if we’re going to be more truthful).

I’m truly excited to pick up from where I left off and see how my life and writing continue to evolve. And as a reader of this blog, I hope you find something in these poems that resonates with where you’re at and/or challenges you to look at life from a different perspective.
